YEREVAN. – Migration is one of the most serious problems in Armenia, president Serzh Sargsyan said during the tenth congress of Yerkrapah Volunteers Union.
The President said migration has slowed down and will consonantly turn into the process of return to the homeland. According to 2013 data, he noted, the negative trend reduced by 25 percent and made around 31,000 people.
“Of course, it is a great number, as we are only 3 million. Let them not think that I am less concerned over the problem. But, on the other hand, I do not understand the idea of speculating on the issue in political purposes,” he said, adding that the problem is solved as a result of work, not speculations.
