YEREVAN. – The creation of small aviation is a priority of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Armenia. 

Nikolay Grigoryan, Deputy Head of MES Rescue Service, stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Monday.
As per Grigoryan, the operation of the airports in Stepanavan and Kapan cities is on the agenda. 

“The small aviation will conduct search activities, take part in putting out forest fires, and in anti-hail activities,” he stressed.

According to him, the setting up of regional crisis management centers is a priority, too.  

He added that, simultaneously, work will be conducted to establish an Armenian-Russian humanitarian center for emergency situations. In this connection, the Russian party is expected to invest a large amount of money and provide equipment, including helicopters. 

Nikolay Grigoryan also informed that a decision was made to set up volunteer fire brigades in Armenia.
