YEREVAN. – Additional inflation in Armenia will not exceed 1.4% with country's accession to Customs Union, Deputy Economy Minister said.

The calculations are based on comparison between customs duties from the import of goods from third countries and future rates of the Customs Union.

The difference makes $140 million and can result in inflation of not more than 1.4%. On the other hand, it is clear that the flow of goods will not remain the same, as the duties will favor the goods of the Customs Union. Consequently, imports from third countries may not be so high, and not that high will be duties and fees, and possible inflation,” Melkonyan said during a press conference.
