The Russian base in Armenia has protected, protects, and will protect the interests of Russia and its allies. 

Colonel Andrey Ruzinski, Commander of the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, Armenia, stated the aforementioned on Saturday’s festive event ahead of Sunday’s Defender of the Fatherland Day.    

The colonel noted the relations that link fraternal peoples to one another, and which have numerous examples.

“The Great Patriotic War [in World War II] has a special place. The [ex-]Soviet people showed widespread heroism and faith in victory,” Ruzinski stressed  

He assured that the Russian military base in Armenia performs with honor its task of protecting the interests of Russia and its allies.    

“[May there be] peaceful skies overhead!” Colonel Andrey Ruzinski concluded.
