YEREVAN. – The Russian party has responded to Armenian National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan’s letter in connection with the large group of Armenian immigrants in Russia.

These immigrants have found themselves under quite risky conditions. The matter is about the 170,000 citizens in Russia, who are in the “black list” of the Russian Federal Migration Service. Once the whereabouts of these people are determined, they will be deported from Russia.

Baghdasaryan informed, at a press conference on Wednesday, that Russian Federation Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev already has replied to his letter, and noted that the matter is very important and urgent.

As per the NSC chief, an agreement was reached to form a respective joint interagency group.

“We are optimistic. The Russian associates understand the importance of this matter for us,” Arthur Baghdasaryan stressed.
