Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II on Friday received, at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, President Giorgi Margvelashvili of Georgia.  

Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian accompanied the Georgian president.  

Karekin II spoke about the church affairs of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian community of Georgia.  

The Catholicos expressed joy over the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, and stressed that such mutual visits further contribute to the strengthening of relations between the two peoples and countries.  

In the ensuing talk, the interlocutors reflected on the Armenian community of Georgia and its input in the country.  
Karekin II also expressed satisfaction by the recently-begun processes toward the resolution of the church affairs of the Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Georgian-Armenian community.

At the end of the talk, the Catholicos of All Armenians wished Giorgi Margvelashvili productive work. 

Following the meeting, the Georgian president visited the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin and toured its depository-museum.
