The Ukrainian Health Ministry released new data on the number of dead as a result of the clashes that took place between the demonstrators and the law enforcement at Maidan in capital city Kyiv.   

The Ministry statement notes that 88 people were killed in Kyiv and six others had died in the regions, during the incidents that took place between November 30, 2013 and February 2014, Ukrainskaya Pravda reports.  

Following the escalation of the tension in Downtown Kyiv on February 18, a total of 900 people have sought medical assistance, and 606 of these people are hospitalized. 

At present, a total of 242 people are receiving medical treatment in Kyiv, and the number of such people is 472 throughout Ukraine.
