Within the framework of his visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, Armenia Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan on Tuesday signed the 2014-2020 Cooperation Program between the education and science ministries of the two Armenian states.

Under this program, and to prepare qualified professionals for NKR, sixty, thirty, and five free spots will be annually allocated for Karabakh’s Bachelors, Masters, and PhD students, respectively, at the state universities of Armenia.
In public education, the Armenia Education and Science Ministry will provide necessary assistance in acquiring textbooks, and methodical and specialized literature.

In higher education and science, the parties will ensure the productive activity of Artsakh Research Center.

In addition, the parties will ensure the NKR vocational education’s integration into that of Armenia.

And considering the fact that NKR is an unrecognized state, the granting of double diplomas will enable the Karabakh universities’ graduates to continue their studies abroad.
