Russian foreign ministry said NATO's decision to suspend cooperation is contrary to common sense.

This decision proved biased approach to analysis of the reasons and consequences of the Ukrainian developments, Ministry representative Alexander Lukashevich said in a statement.

The diplomat said an intention to limit operations on the agreed areas and projects of cooperation, such challenges and threats as terrorism, piracy, crises, extremism, natural and man-made disasters, as well as Afghanistan and the Syrian chemical weapons is contrary to common sense.

“We consider extremely dangerous an attepmt to bring a NATO factor to already existing complex and fragile situation in Ukraine that creates an additional element of tension, undermining prospects for normalization of situation,” the statement reads.
