YEREVAN. – The Rescue Service of Armenia received an emergency call, on Monday at 5:54am, informing that a fire had broken out on the seventh floor of a capital city Yerevan building.   

Two fire and rescue squads plus a ladder truck were dispatched to the scene. Assessing the complexity of the fire however, two more fire and rescue squads as well as a quick response and an operative team likewise were dispatched.    

The fire was put out at 6:58am.

As a result of the fire, however, the 25-square-meter living room of the apartment belonging to A. B. was destroyed completely, and 35 square meters of corridor walls were affected by the heat of the fire. 

In addition, residents H. B. (born in 1963) and G.A. (born in 1988) sustained first-degree burns, and they received necessary medical assistance on location.
