YEREVAN. – Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) leader and First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan on Thursday met with Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Traian Hristea.

The two men met at Hristea’s initiative, and Ter-Petrosyan acquainted the EU official with the current political situation in Armenia.

At Hristea’s request, Ter-Petrosyan spoke about the possible developments in the country’s domestic politics, the ANC informed.

The first president noted that the formation of a legitimate authority in Armenia is the necessary condition for the establishment of democracy and legality, economic development, and the improvement of the social situation in the country.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Traian Hristea also reflected on regional and international relations and their possible impact on the developments in Armenia.
