YEREVAN. – The possible difficulties, in connection with the trade being conducted by way of Crimea’s ports, will not affect Armenia, dispatcher Yeghishe Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As per Hovhannisyan, solely metallic fittings and timber come to Armenia from the Ukrainian ports.

“And the construction sector is not so active lately,” he added.

As for replacing Kerch port in Crimea, the route toward Ilyichevsk is possible, and the cargo ships may be served in Odessa, Kherson, and Mariupol.

“At any rate, our circulation at the Ukrainian ports is not so high,” Hovhannisyan noted.

At present, Ilyichevsk, Mariupol, and Kerch conduct freight transfer with Armenia.

“[But] in any case, no one knows what the situation will be a week or a month later,” Yeghishe Hovhannisyan noted.
