STEPANAKERT. – In accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagoрno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

The monitoring was held on Wednesday, in the Askeran direction near Bash Karvend village, the NKR MFA press service reported. 

From the positions of the NKR Defense Army, the monitoring was conducted by Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office; his Field Assistant Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic); and by Andrey Barashkin (Russia), representative of the OSCE High-Level Planning Group (HLPG).

From the opposite side, the monitoring was held by Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria), Field Assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, and Office staff member Peter Svedberg.

The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule, and no ceasefire violations were recorded.
From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives from the NKR Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense.
