YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, who is also Vice Chairman of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, is in Brussels.
In the Belgian capital, Sargsyan will participate in the summit of the European People’s Party (EPP).
Before the event, however, the Armenian PM on Thursday met with several members of the European Parliament, and representatives from the Directorate-General for External Relations of the European Commission, other European institutions, and international NGOs, informed the Press Office of the Government of Armenia.
In the context of the prospects for the development of Armenia-European Union relations, PM Sargsyan reaffirmed the Armenian authorities’ position, according to which Armenia has specified a balanced improvement in relations with all partners, and not at the expense of one another.
“The precept of ‘either, or’ is unacceptable for Armenia, and building of relations on the principle of complementarity is the more acceptable approach,” Tigran Sargsyan stressed.
