Ukraine recognizes as the country’s citizens all Crimeans who receive Russian passports, Ukrainian government member Ostap Semerak told RFE/RL, Censor.net reported. 

“The Ukrainian citizens, who will be forced to get Russian passports, will remain the citizens of Ukraine.

“This is somewhat contrary to the laws of Ukraine, since Ukraine does not recognize dual citizenship.  

“But we do not recognize the neighboring country’s passports in the case of the Ukrainian citizens who are subjected to coercion in that territory,” Semerak noted.
