YEREVAN. – Local government elections will be conducted on June 8 in several rural and two urban communities in Armenia.
Armenian News-NEWS.am learned the aforesaid from the Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
Accordingly, mayoral elections will be held in Jermuk and Goris cities, whereas village prefects will be elected in numerous communities in Lori, Vayots Dzor, Syunik, Aragatsotn, and Gegharkunik Regions, and in some communities in Kotayk, Shirak, Armavir, and Ararat Regions.
The election campaign season will kick off on May 21 and come to an end on June 6, CEC Press Secretary Hermine Harutyunyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
