Armenia's vote on Crimea at the UN General Assembly will not impact relations with Ukraine, Armenian Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan said on Saturday.

He said Armenia could not sacrifice the principle of nations' self-determination to the principle of territorial integrity.

However, he said the relations between Armenia and Ukraine were and will remain normal.

Armenia was among the eleven countries that on Thursday voted against the UN General Assembly resolution which declares invalid Crimea’s recent referendum calling for joining Russia. In addition, 58 countries abstained from voting on this resolution, whereas 100 countries voted in its favor. The UN General Assembly resolutions, however, are merely consultative.
