YEREVAN. – Social benefits and income tax werte united in Armenia since 2013, as it was payment of the same amount, Labor Minister Artem Asatrayn said.

He was asked by Constitutional Court (CC) chairman Gagik Harutyunyan how it turned out that due to the introduction of new pension system the tax burden on employers decreased by almost 10 percent and increased on employees.

However, evasive but long answer to the question did not satisfy the CC members, and Harutyunyan was forced to repeat the question, noting that in some European countries the tax burden on employers is 40 percent.

Asatryan said that employers have an obligation that they do not have to pay employees less than they got previously. However, the minister did not give a clear answer to the question.
