YEREVAN. – The Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor’s Office’s launching of criminal cases against 296 Armenians is yet another absurdity.

Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan, who is also a member in Armenia’s delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In her words, Armenia needs to be ready for Azerbaijan’s attempts to push forward likewise this matter to international platforms.

“We objectively believe that what Azerbaijan says is absurdity and there is no need to answer them,” Zohrabyan said. 

She added, however, that Armenia should not have such a high opinion about the expert skills of the European MPs, and think that the Azerbaijanis’ statements are a mere “propaganda bubble.”

“The Europeans, who are absolutely uninformed about numerous issues, fall under the influence of the anti-Armenian Azerbaijani propaganda. We [i.e., Armenia] must be ready to respond to it,” Naira Zohrabyan stated.
