YEREVAN. – The objective of tabling a motion of no confidence to the government is to consolidate all the political forces and the civil society which are dissatisfied with this government, and life shows that 90 percent of the people are against.

Armenia’s opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun National Assembly (NA) Faction head Armen Rustamyan told the abovementioned to reporters, following the four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary factions’—i.e., the Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage—joint closed session at the NA on Tuesday, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed.

He noted that the contesting—at the Constitutional Court (CC)—of the funded pension law is a large component of the no-confidence motion to the government.

“This is more of a warning to the same government that they resign on their own. This matter is enough to show how unprepared the government is.

“We will fight, and we will continue the fight even after the law being deemed unconstitutional, so that there would no longer be such laws,” Rustamyan noted.

The ARF NA Faction head informed that discussions are underway to determine when the leaders of the four aforesaid political forces will meet.

“There are no ideological problems among the four forces; the matter is the right selection of time from the tactical perspective. We make decisions with all party members,” Armen Rustamyan said adding, however, that it is not important whether or not the four leaders will actually meet.
