YEREVAN. – The case into an assault against a US citizen, in downtown of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, has been solved, the Armenian News-NEWS.am’s sources informed.

We have learned that the police have found the perpetrator, and it was found out that the latter had hit the US citizen in the head, inflicted bodily injury, and stolen his mobile phone and jacket, with numerous bank and credit cards in its pocket.

The perpetrator is a 21-22-year-old by the name of Martiros. He said that the American citizen had come out of a bar and was heading home; Martiros started speaking with him, and seeing that the US citizen was well-dressed, he thought that the foreigner would have money, so he “got to work.”

The Police had received a call on March 30 that American citizen D. E. had reported that an unidentified person had hit him in the head, on the same day at a Downtown Yerevan intersection, and stolen his mobile phone, wallet, and keys.
