YEREVAN. – Ukraine will withdraw from CIS as it intends to join European family, professor of Russia's higher school of economics Andrey Suzdaltsev said.

He participated in a round-table discussion titled “CIS Future: With Ukraine or without?”.

Suzdaltsev is convinced that the move will have negative impact on Ukraine's economy.

“Ukraine presents itself as an injured party, this image is sold all over the globe. Of course, conflict with Russia is useful for Ukrainian authorities,” he said.

On March 18 Ukraine decided to relinquish its chairmanship of the CIS.
