YEREVAN. – The Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will give an assessment on Hovik Abrahamyan’s appointment solely when it sees how he solves the problems facing the country.

PAP National Assembly (NA) Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am, commenting on the query as to whether Abrahanyan is an acceptable prime minister for the party.

“Hovik Abrahamyan must introduce a program that will not be a continuation of the program of the notorious government of notorious [ex-PM] Tigran Sargsyan, which [Sargsyan’s program] had led the country toward a socioeconomic impasse.

“There must be a program where the most serious challenges facing the country will be included.

“Now, the Prosperous Armenia [Party] will not give any preconceived evaluation,” Zohrabyan said, in particular.

President Serzh Sargsyan on Sunday appointed NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan as Prime Minister of Armenia.
