YEREVAN. – What’s important is not the person, but rather the program that will be introduced.

Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party National Assembly (NA) Faction Head Ruben Hakobyan expressed such a view with respect to NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan being appointed Prime Minister.

“The systemic and sweeping changes in a state do not depend on the person. Once Hovik Abrahamyan presents his program, we will express our view at that time,” Hakobyan said.

But, as per the opposition MP, one thing is clear: Heritage will not enter into the next coalition government.

To the query as to what the current four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) plan to do next, Ruben Hakobyan responded: “The four will get together, discuss, then we will inform our position.”

President Serzh Sargsyan on Sunday appointed National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan as Prime Minister of Armenia.
