Turkish president Abdullah Gul spoke about necessity of displaying solidarity within NATO in relation to preserving stability in the Black Sea region. His comments came after talks with Latvian counterpart Andris Berziņs.

He noted that decisions in military and civil areas were made on different levels at NATO in order to seek options to solve problems based on dialogue and international law, ITAR-TASS reported.

Gul said that Turkey continues contacts with NATO allies and constant consultations with Russia.
