YEREVAN. – Next year the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute will display an updated exposition, director Hayk Demoyan told reporters.

In preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Museum was increased 2.5 times, he added.

Demoyan said construction works will be over in October, and exposition will be ready by next March before the solemn opening of the museum next April.

“The Museum-Institute is turning into an institution of international importance. An agreement was signed with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, thanks to which we will work with our Canadian partners and provide them with information regarding the Armenian Genocide.

Last year an agreement was signed with Russia's Holocaust center that will provide holding exhibition of our museum throughout Russia,” Dumanyan said, adding that an agreement with the Paris Foundation will be signed this fall.

The Museum plans to hold around 20 temporary exhibitions to present entirely new information based on exclusively authentic materials.
