YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily has learned that, following Friday’s press conference, Armenia’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan will “disappear” from politics for a long time, Zhoghovurd daily reported.  

“The RLP leader decided to travel to RF [Russian Federation] and return to Armenia some time thereafter. [But we] could not verify this news from his spokesperson.      

“Baghdasaryan, with this move of his, aims to cause to forget the events taking place around RLP [i.e., its leaving the coalition government].    

“And some time thereafter, when he returns from RF with great fanfare, Baghdasaryan plans to start large-scale activities. 

“The RLP leader has decided to return to politics with very bold steps, [and] making oppositional speeches, to be able to prove to the people that he is an opposition to the steps taken by the Armenian authorities,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
