YEREVAN. – There are several options for making changes in the mandatory funded pension system in Armenia, Zhamanak daily reported.

“1) The system is introduced in Armenia, but it applies solely to employees just entering the [work] market.

“2) The system is introduced and it applies to those born after 1974, but with some leeway.

“3) If the funded component is maintained, the role of the state can be increased.

“4) The funded system can be waived and a transition be made to tax increase,” Zhamanak wrote.
