YEREVAN. – WBO Champion Arthur Abraham rules out possibility of following the lead of Vitali Klitschko and going into politics.

“I am an athlete. Sport is my life. I cannot be a minister. It is ruled out,” he told the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent at Sardarapat Memorial on May 28, the First Republic Day.

Abraham, who  is the reining WBO Super Middleweight Champion, believes new Armenian sport minister should work much.

“Large investments are needed, and this cannot be done shortly. It is a long work,” he added.

The famous sportsman believes every Armenian whether he is a politician, an athlete or a worker, must come to Sardarapat Memorial on this day.

“I am an Armenian, although I live in Germany. I am a patriot and I love my nation. I came to Armenia to visit historical places, museums. I went to Etchmiadzin yesterday. Every time I come here, I am interested in something new. I do not come here just to party,” he said.
