YEREVAN. – Armenia will hardly be able to create a free economic zone with Iran by its own, expert on Iran Mher Baghdasaryan said during a press conference on Tuesday.

Earlier Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan said Armenia plans to create a free economic zone where joint ventures will function.

The analyst believes Yerevan depends on Moscow in many issues, and will hardly be able to launch this project with Iran on its own.

Baghdasaryan is confident that creation of free economic zone on Iran-Armenia border will provide an opportunity to strengthen Armenia's regional positions and sovereignity which“is not in the interests of several countries”.
