YEREVAN. – Armenia's State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition decided to fine a company dealing with production and sale of CDs.

The company will have to pay a fine of amounting to one percent of the profit of the preceding year and.

“Reco Records” company dealing with production and sale of CDs has appealed to the Commission, informing that “Adams” company is preventing their activity. The company has sent letters to around ten persons engaged in retail trade, including the company's customers, noting that the company is an exclusive owner of alleged copyright. The company claimed it had the rights for CD market in Armenia.

An investigation revealed that “Adams” ompany is not the owner of the exclusive rights to the mentioned objects, moreover the part of exclusive rights belongs to “Reco Records”.
