YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud.

The PM expressed satisfaction with the Armenian-French friendly relations and underscored the continuous development of multi-sectoral collaboration. Abrahamyan highly appreciated France’s financial and technical assistance to Armenia, and France’s efforts—within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group—to find a peaceful settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.    

The interlocutors discussed the prospects for closer bilateral trade and economic ties and outlined the respective possible directions. 

The Armenia Premier briefed the French diplomat on the priorities of the Armenian government, and the steps that are already taken to carry out reforms in Armenia.   

Abrahamyan welcomed the French enterprises’ active engagement in Armenia and stressed the need for attracting new investments.

The PM also highlighted that Armenia looks toward further developing the achievements in Armenia-European Union (EU) relations. 

Ambassador Reynaud, for his part, assured that France stands ready to continue its assistance to Armenia, including in the deepening of Armenia-EU cooperation. 

Hovik Abrahamyan invited his French counterpart to Armenia, to confer on the prospects for expanding Armenian-French economic cooperation.
