YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) discussions and voting on the new funded pensions’ law package are null and void. 

The aforesaid is noted in the four non-ruling NA factions’ (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) statement which is issued with respect to the voting, during the special NA session on June 21, on the aforementioned package which the government had submitted.

“The NA headship repeatedly violated the NA regulation during the session. The non-ruling [NA] political forces tried to stop the [parliamentary] majority’s unlawful actions toward forcing the parliament to pass several controversial bills, including the law package on funded pensions.

“We condemn such behavior by the political majority and state that we, together with the [Armenian] body politic, will continue to vigorously fight for the complete application of the Constitutional Court decision,” the statement specifically reads.
