YEREVAN. – The atmosphere of impunity contributes to an increase in crime, Armenia's Attorney General Gevorg Kostanyan said during a press conference on Wednesday.

As stressed by Gevorg Kostanyan if perpetrators do not get appropriate punishment for their actions, this leads to the generation of crime.

At the same time, the Attorney General did not agree with the opinion that Armenia is faced with the splash of brazen crimes. He expressed confidence that the police are carrying out preventive measures.

The question on brazen crimes was raised amid several recent incidents when arms were used.
