YEREVAN. – The long-term Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the environmental domain will continue more closely and profoundly.    

Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Reisi noted the aforementioned Friday at his meeting with Minister of Nature Protection Aramayis Grigoryan. 

The ambassador congratulated Grigoryan on his appointment as minister and conveyed the respective congratulations by Ms. Masoumeh Ebtekar, the head of Iran’s Environmental Protection Organization, informed the Nature Protection Ministry press service.   

“We are not solely neighbors, we are [also] countries with a millennia-old friendship,” Reisi added.

The Iranian diplomat also expressed the hope that it will be possible to constructively carry out the verbal agreements that were previously reached. 

“We highly appreciate the Armenian-Iranian relations, and we will do everything to successfully complete the jointly started projects and to implement new ones,” Aramayis Grigoryan stressed, for his part.   

The interlocutors discussed the joint environmental projects, and several other matters of mutual interest.
