YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU) will not interfere with Armenian-Georgian relations.

Georgian Studies specialist Johnny Melikyan stated the aforesaid, at a press conference on Saturday, commenting on the signing of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement. 

As per the analyst, Armenia likewise is an EU Eastern Partnership member country, and it has special relations with NATO. 

“All this will be maintained. Consequently, the EU and NATO also will do everything possible to maintain these relations.
“And the Georgia-EU Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area shall not adversely affect Armenian-Georgian interstate relations,” Melikyan added.     

Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia on Friday have signed the EU Association Agreement, which suggests the creation of a free trade zone between these countries and the European Union states.
