Armenian National Assembly (NA) Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov on Tuesday had a work meeting with Secretary General Alexey Sergeev of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council. 

During the talk, which was held in the Tauride Palace in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation.  

The NA vice-chair also noted that the year 2015 will mark the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. In this connection, he informed the CIS official about the agreements that are reached in the parliaments of several countries, and toward the displaying of exhibits devoted to the Armenian Genocide. 

Sharmazanov proposed to Sergeev to display next year at the Tauride Palace a number of exhibits from the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and to convene a conference on the genocide.   

The head of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Council expressed willingness to provide assistance.
