YEREVAN. – Leader of Orinats Yerkir party Arthur Baghdasaryan believes the real date for Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union is January 1, 2015.

He is confident that Armenia will join the Union, but he is also convinced that a strong team is needed to overcome numerous problems.

“Unfortunately, I do not see a team that can ensure accession and further process of interaction related to economic issues. We need a strong team comprised of the representatives of ministries,” Baghadsaryan said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Neither Moscow, nor Brussels or Washington are thinking about Armenia all day long. The Armenian side must be active and present the views and wishes during talks, he emphasized.

Delaying the process of Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union,i n his opinion, may be due to both objective and subjective reasons, among them changes occurred in Armenia, redistribution within the government.

“There were also subjective factors on the part of the Union member states,” he added.
