YEREVAN. – The rally, which will be held against the electricity price hike, is not the public meeting of the opposition Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP); it is related to a problem that causes concern for the whole Armenian nation.

RLP Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Wednesday.

He considered the parliamentary forces’ assessments on the rally slated for July 18 to be correct, since the RLP has not petitioned to any political force with a request to participate in this assembly.

“We made a public call to all political forces, civic and non-governmental organizations to join us and raise a voice of protest. Whoever joins us, and with what format, it’s their right.

“This is not a party rally, albeit the RLP organizations have an active participation [in it],” Baghdasaryan stressed.
