YEREVAN. – On May 23, NATO and Armenia have agreed upon a two-year—and fourth—Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) program.

Armenia MFA Arms Control and International Security Department Head Samvel Mkrtchyan stated the abovementioned during Thursday’s symposium titled “New Security Challenges and NATO.”

In his words, three IPAP programs already have been implemented in Armenia so far, and mutual consent and respect dominates Armenia-NATO relations, and there are absolutely no enforcement elements in these relations.

“The parties approach with understanding toward one another,” Mkrtchyan stressed.

He added that this cooperation will continue, since security can best be ensured on the basis of respecting the commonly accepted precepts.
