Germany has expelled the top American intelligence official amid two spying cases, Reuters reported.

“The Federal Gov’t has asked the representative of the US intelligence services at the US Embassy in Berlin to leave Germany,” Foreign Office tweeted.

The second suspected U.S. spy was discovered within a week amid a scandal between Berlin and Washington. According to Germany's Prosecutor Office, he will be free until the investigation is over.
