YEREVAN. – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Armenia refrains from commenting on the information about the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Armed Forces’ capturing of an Azerbaijani citizen. The ICRC told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The NKR Defense Army press service has disseminated information, according to which the detainee is Azerbaijani citizen Shahbaz Guliyev, a member of the Azerbaijani team that had infiltrated into Karvachar Region.  

The Azerbaijan State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People, however, does not respond to any media questions. The Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, on the other hand, has stated that the aforementioned person does not serve in the Azerbaijani army.
