YEREVAN. – After Armenia and Azerbaijan express readiness to hold a meeting, France will naturally do everything to organize it, French Ambassador Henri Reynaud said.

Reynaud commented on the proposal of French President to host Armenia-Azerbaijan summit during the press conference dedicated to Bastille Day.

He recalled that during his Armenia trip, Francois Hollande said it is necessary to advance talks.

“On the other hand, president called on the conflicting parties to adopt a position that will provide an opportunity to reach agreement. In this context, president expressed willingness to organize a meeting. Of course, the statement was made taking into account the fact  that France is one of the co-chairing states of OSCE Minsk Group,” Ambassador emphasized.

The proposal was supported by many countries and  organizations, in particular by Swiss Foreign Minister who supported the call during his trip to Armenia.

“The idea of President Hollande was supported by the rest two states – co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group,” Henri Reynaud  resumed.
