YEREVAN. – Carrefour trade chain will open doors to Armenian consumers this fall, French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud said during a press conference dedicated to Bastille Day.

The diplomat recalled that during the visit of French President Francois Hollande to Armenia different agreements, including intergovernmental one, were signed. In addition, an agreement at the enterprise level was reached.

“Two days ago a very important business event with the participation of French entrepreneurs was held at the French Embassy in Armenia.  Armenian-French business club held a meeting of the Board of Trustees, during which Christian Denal, a senior Carrefour executive, was elected chairman of the Armenian-French business club,” Ambassador Reynaud said.

The diplomat added that the purpose is not only to strengthen Armenia-France economic relations, but also to make sure that economic relations were able to reach the level of political ties.
