YEREVAN. – Opposition Armenian National Congress Party (ANCP) leader, First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan on Tuesday met with US Ambassador John Heffern, and at the latter’s initiative.  

Upon the ambassador's request, Ter-Petrosyan presented the current state of domestic politics in Armenia and reflected on the major challenges the country faces, the ANCP press service informed.

The First President also commented on the cooperation between, and the future courses of action by, the four non-government parliamentary parties (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage).  

The interlocutors also discussed regional cooperation and security issues, especially linked to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
