YEREVAN. – Baroness Caroline Cox, who heads the British-Armenian Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, has resigned, Zhamanak daily reported.
“She informed this in London during a meeting with Armenia’s parliamentary delegation.
“The interparliamentary group has accepted her resignation. John Whittingdale was elected new head of the group.
“Cox, a member of the House of Lords of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, has repeatedly visited Karabakh, and her name is on the Azerbaijani MFA’s list of unwanted persons [i.e., persona non grata],” Zhamanak wrote.
