YEREVAN. – The debt for the Armenian state supply of wheat seeds will be postponed for one year for those farmers who were affected by the recent hailstorms that hit the Shirak and Lori Regions.

Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan stated the aforementioned on Thursday.

Accordingly, the residents of 46 villages can return the winter wheat next year.

A total of 14,200 hectares of crops were damaged as a result of the recent hailstorms in the abovementioned regions.

The value of the seeds provided to the hail-affected farmers totals Armenian drams worth approximately $247,000.
