International flight operations have resumed at the airport of Simferopol, the capital of Crimea.
The official website of the Republic of Crimea said Simferopol-Istanbul flights will be resumed after long talks, ITAR-TASS reported.
Deputy Chairman of the Crimea Cabinet Dmitry Polnosky said other countries are also interested in the flights, and talks continue.
“The first international flight Simferopol-Istnbul will be operated today,” acting head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov tweeted.
