Malaysia national security official Mohd Sakri said there were no signs of outside tampering with the black boxes of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 which crashed in eastern Ukraine, the Interfax news agency reported.

Ukraine Deputy PM Vladimir Groysman had earlier stated that speculations were possible in connection with these black boxes.

“The black boxes are slightly damaged, but there are no signs of outside tampering,” Sakri stated.

Earlier, Alexander Borodai, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, had handed the black boxes of the crashed plane over to Mohd Sakri.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing-777 passenger plane, which was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, crashed on July 17 in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast (Province), near the Russian border. There were 283 passengers, including three infants, and fifteen crew members onboard the aircraft, and all of them lost their lives.
