YEREVAN. – The Azerbaijani side on Friday kept the frontier Movses, Nerkin Karmraghbyur, and Aygepar villages of Tavush Region under fire for several hours. Fortunately, the Armenian side suffered no casualties.

Armenian defense minister’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan told the aforesaid to reporters on Saturday.

“We always say that they [Azerbaijan] violate the ceasefire, suffer losses. Let them think about this accountability. The ceasefire should not be violated. It was calm, normal for few days. They should not have violated [the ceasefire]. It’s apparent that they violated and received a response. We [the Armenian side] don’t respond when they [the fired shots] are irregular. But if they are fierce, we start to respond,” he said.

Hovhannisyan added that he does not know whether or not the adversary has suffered casualties.
